Embraced by the National Park

The rugged hilly landscapes, unusual slope and hilltop mires, and old spruce copse forests of the Syöte National Park please nature trail hikers. Divided into four sections, the largest section of the Park, Syöte, offers outstanding possibilities for excursions and hiking.

The Syöte National Park and recreational area are located right by the resort services. Excursions are easy to take by following the well signposted trails. There are trails of varying distances and difficulties: from easily traversable, short nature trails to hikes lasting a number of days. There are numerous rest spots along the trails intended for campfires and overnight stays. The UKK route also travels through Syöte. Nature trails suitable for persons with mobility restrictions are the Kellarilampi Nature Trail and the Salojen Siivekkäät Nature Trail that starts from the corner of the Syöte Visitor Centre.

More information about excursion routes is available from Syöte National Park, that also has an exhibition displaying the cultural heritage and nature of the area, and a lunch restaurant.

Come and enjoy the summertime in the Syöte Fell District!
